The paperback of The Wisdom of the Shire is coming October 29th, a week before the Blue Ray of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits the shelves. The paperback looks fantastic, and I’m really proud of the great blurbs featured on the back, from The Boston Globe (which is actually reviewer Ethan Gilsdorf, author of my favorite memoir Fantasy Freaks and Gaming Geeks), to Kirkus Reviews and USA Today, to TheOneRing.net. This version of my book includes a bonus chapter called The Children of the Shire, and the book’s text has been totally corrected based on several eagle-eyed Tolkien fans who spotted all of my errata in the hardcover.
